"Tiere allein im Wald" ist ein animierter Kurzfilm für Filmfreunde aller Altersgruppen.
Mit dabei: eine kritisch guckende Eule, eine handvoll graziler Rehe, ein Häufchen haltlos hampelnder Hasen und, nicht zuletzt, der prächtige Platzhirsch. Auf diesen hat es der schnauzbärtige Jäger abgesehen, als er sich auf den Weg in den hessischen Forst macht. Der König des Waldes soll mit seinem stolzen Geweih die heimische Wohnzimmerwand zieren.
Aber er hat die Rechnung ohne die Tiere gemacht - wer sich benimmt wie die Axt im Walde, muss mit Gegenwind rechen...
Das ist das Ergebnis eines einjährigen Projektes von Oskar Gerspach und Lea Kirstein, die sich zusammen Platzhirsch Animation nennen. Zwischen Schule und Studium entstand ein kurzer Zeichentrickfilm. Was sich so einfach anhört, beinhaltete tatsächlich einiges an Gedankenarbeit, ein paar schlaflos-produktive Nächte, viel Schokolade für Oskar und literweise Kaffee für Lea, ein ordentliches Drehbuch und ein ebensolches Storyboard, viele analoge und digitale Seiten mit Figuren- und Szenendesign, eine erfolreiche Crowdfunding-Kampagne, Monate der Arbeit an den Zeichenbildschirmen und noch dazu ein Live-Making-Of aus Videoblogs.

"Tiere allein im Wald" (meaning "Animals alone in the Woods" or something along those lines) is an animated short Film for people of all ages.
It includes a very skeptical owl, a handfull of gracious does, a bunch of bouncy bunnies and, last but not least, the grand deer. But a hunter has his mind set on the latter as he makes his way to the woods. He wants the king of the forrest to embellish his living room wall with his noble antlers.
But the animals don't want to be disturbed and are ready to strike back...
This is the outcome of a one-year-long project by Oskar Gerspach and Lea Kirstein, who call themselves Platzhirsch Animation when they're working together. Between high school and college they produced a cartoon short film. What sounds easy actually included a lot of brain work, a few sleepless, yet productive nights, a lot of chocolate for Oskar and gallons of coffee for Lea, a proper script and storyboard, a whole bunch of digital and paper drawings of character and scene design, a successful crowdfunding campaign, months of sketching on digital tablets and a live making of consisting of vlogs.
